***makes a little dance***Now on to something completely different. Namely the always interesting Nazi movement. Yesterday when in Malmö we of course had to go through the latest developments on that scene, which for the most part is rather entertaining since they're really sectarian and quite pathetic.
It's a never ending source of laughs and crazy gossip as well as more or less wacky characters. How about a Nazi who belonged to a Christian religious sect called the Creativist Church before he joined the Swedish Resistance Movement (SMR) and who has taken Adolf Hitler's style and rhetoric to his heart, combining it with a televangelist approach, as a preacher? He even has the glasses and the beard.
I won't link to a speech he made during the so called The People's March on our national day this year for the simple reason that it's in Swedish (duh) and not many would actually understand what he's saying. I mean, it's fun for 10 seconds to listen to someone speechifying like a mix between Adolf and a televangelist in a foreign language but after that, not really.
It's the content that goes together with the way he makes the speech that makes it... well, we actually laughed quite a bit when he spitting saliva worked himself up to a frenzy about the vultures in the corrupt media business spreading filthy lies about the true state of this nation. But the national movement will prevail and drive the liars out of the temple with
whipsss and
macesss... Think Homer Simpson in a beard chasing Bart shouting "I'll mace you good!".
Another funny thing is their problems concerning race. You'd think it'd be simple and logical. If you really want a pure race (Scandinavian that is) there should be no mixing with other people. Period. However, since they're uneducated and is torn between the prospect of growing to large numbers and retaining racial purity they always end up in problems.
Take Finland as an example. The Lappo movement, which I have written about before, was a
Finnish fascist movement. Because all fascist movements has to sympathise with each other the Swedish Nazis of course has to sympathise with that movement and since we're brothers and sisters in Scandinavia the Fins has to be accepted.
Now I'll come to the funny part. I said
Finnish. See, there's a mix up between the two epithets Finnish and Finlandic. If you're Finnish you belong to the so called Finno-Urgic language group (the same as Estonians and Hungarians belong to) who in a grey pre-historic past emigrated westward from what now is Russia to the areas were they now live. They are in no way to be seen as Aryans.
A Finlander on the other hand is a person resident in Finland with Swedish decent (more or less mixed up with the Fins - but there are still "pure" families). My family, on both my mum's and dad's side, has to be seen as Finlandic, not Finnish although there has been some mixing going on.
So the Nazis have two problems. First they can't make the distinction between Fins and Finlandics and second, they don't stick to racial logic. That has many reasons, one being the long territorial history we have with Finland.
The loss of 30 % of Sweden (that being Finland) to Russia 200 years ago still stings (which has it's roots in the Nazi movement's awe for the Swedish "imperial" past in the 17
th and 18
th century - the so called Ancient Days of Greatness which we all has to sing our national anthem, a nationalist monstrosity if you ask me).
So in good nationalist tradition Nazis still has to feel some sort of ownership towards Finland, which goes well with the hate for the Russians. The rumble about the communists were really just a smoke screen. It doesn't matter what political system they have, it's the
Russians themselves Nazis hate.
And all of a sudden Finland's cause is ours (as during WW II) and they can conveniently ignore what really would be the basics of their racial theory, namely that Swedes shouldn't mix with Fins. They can allow themselves to ignore the distinction between Fins and Finlandics and besides, many
are actually blond and has blue eyes... and the excuses that it's not all about genetics suddenly appear.
Don't get me wrong. I think they're all completely wrong and absolutely bonkers, but it's interesting to see just how irrational, illogical and uneducated Nazis are. It's almost too easy to pick them apart when something like this comes up.
And now on to the regular scheduling of the day.
